Chalk Talk – Projected High-Own Plays & Suggested Lower-Own Pivots – Week 6 NFL DFS

Chalk Talk – Projected High-Own Plays & Suggested Lower-Own Pivots for Week 6 of the NFL DFS Season (2016-2017). Helping you find lower-own candidates that can be difference makers in GPPs.

With FanDuel’s new system you can no longer see the ownership of players until their game starts. With us no longer being able to give you exact percentages of player we are going to give you who we feel will be the most popular players at each position. We will give you three to four players at each position that should be extremely popular and a pivot at each position to get away from the crowd or chalk.

The chalk

Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Ben Roethlisberger, Brian Hoyer

Players to pivot too

  • Russell Wilson– Of the big name quarterbacks Wilson is the one flying under the radar the most and you should take full advantage of it. Wilson had a monster performance against the Jets, is coming off a bye which should make him healthy and faces a Falcons team that ranks 27th against the pass this season.
  • Alex Smith– Smith is not a sexy name based on the way the Chiefs dink and dump but he is a great cheap option this week. Smith has been a lot better than people give him credit for and has passed the ball a ton this season. Smith has two games this season in which he has completed at least 30 passes and in both of those games he scored at least 18 fantasy points. This week the match-up doesn’t get any better as the Raiders have been the worst team against the pass this season.

Running Back

The Chalk

Le’Veon Bell, DeMarco Murray, Ezekiel Elliott, LeSean McCoy, Jordan Howard, Terrence West, James Starks (If he plays and Eddie Lacy is out)

Players to pivot too

  • Jonathan Stewart– Stewart is back in the saddle for the Panthers and should get the bulk of the touches in the backfield against a really bad Saints team. At his cheap price, Stewart is one of my favorite GPP plays this week as he offers you salary relief and has a lot of upside.
  • A move I am making in all my contests this week is fading Ezekiel Elliott. I knowElliott has been great for the Cowboys but fading him at his price for a Lamar Miller or Christine Michael is a smart play. Elliott has a really bad match-up against a Packers team that is only allowing 42.8 rushing yards per game.

Wide Receivers

The Chalk

I don’t feel there are any truly chalk wide outs this week. The ownership should be pretty evenly spread out this week.

Players to pivot too

  • With no real chalk at the position I wanted to give you a couple of names that I really love this week that I feel are going to be really under owned.
  • Jeremy Maclin– Consistent and in great match-up against the Raiders
  • Antonio Brown– Best wide out in the league but super expensive which should keep his ownership levels down
  • Marvin Jones Jr.- Coming off a so-so week for him but should be back to putting up huge numbers as Matthew Stafford‘s top target.

Tight Ends

The Chalk

Greg Olsen, Martellus Bennett, Zach Miller

Players to pivot too

  • Dwayne Allen especially on DraftKings where he is dirt cheap is a player I love this week against a Texans team that really struggles against tight ends.
  • Jesse James is another player I like in GPPs as I think he will find the end zone for the fourth time this season.
  • Charles Clay has three of the past four weeks with at least five catches and is in a great match-up. Owners may also be scared away if he is listed as questionable this week.
