We are going to keep things short and sweet today as I have some personal and family issues I need to take care of today. For those of you who normally reach out to me on Twitter or by email, I will not have internet access all day. If you have questions please reach out to any of the wonderful Moxyball Team and they will be more than happy to give you the same expert advice as I do. We also will not be having a Cheat Sheet on Thursday as it is just a two game slate before the start of the all-star break.

Point Guard

Top Play: John Wall ($10,200)

Wall is your no doubt top play on a slate that includes Stephen Curry. Why does Wall get the edge over Curry? Well I am glad you asked. For one Wall has a higher floor than Curry and just as much upside. He also has been playing fantastic basketball and over his past six games is averaging 22.5 points, 6.83 rebounds, 10 assists and 2.17 steals. He has at least 47 fantasy points in five of the six games. I also love his match-up against a Knicks team in turmoil. The final reason why I like Wall is the likely hood that he plays 35 plus minutes in a high scoring close game. Curry on the other hand will likely sit out the fourth quarter as the Warriors should blow the awful Rockets out of the water, especially if James Harden sits out.

Last night’s play: Derrick Rose – N/A did not play due to rest

Value Play: Raul Neto ($3,800)

Point guard is really that ugly tonight that I am recommending a player that has as many games under four fantasy points in his past ten games as he does over 20 fantasy points. The reason why I don’t mind Neto tonight is one he is cheap and will allow you to pay up at other positions. Secondly, he plays a lot of minutes right now and that will continue if Trey Burke sits out. Neto has played at least 32 minutes in three of his past four games and at least 25 minutes in five straight games. He has actually been really solid in that time frame and is averaging 10.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4 assists in those five games. He has at least 17 fantasy points in each game and should that number tonight.

Last night’s play: Emmanuel Mudiay – 26.2 FanDuel Points/4.9x value

GPP Play: Jerryd Bayless ($4,100)

Bayless is someone who I am going to be taking a chance on in GPPs tonight. I have mentioned several times how ugly point guard is and minus Wall I really am trying to get out as cheap as possible to spend up at even uglier positions on this ugly slate. Bayless has played great over his past two games and is averaging 15.5 points, 2 rebounds and 3.5 assists. He has at least 22 fantasy points in each game as well. The match-up is awful as the Celtics allow the least amount of fantasy points to point guards but I am still willing to gamble tonight.

Last night’s play: Norris Cole – 21.6 FanDuel Points/4.2x value

Player to Fade: None

There a lot of point guards I don’t like tonight but I think everyone is in play on this slate. It really is that bad. If a player is reasonably affordable and plays 25 plus minutes they are in play tonight.

Last night’s fade: T.J. McConnell – 10.6 FanDuel Points/2.6x value
