NBA DFS FanDuel Value Plays for 11/25/15

NBA DFS FanDuel Value Plays for 11/25/15.

What’s up Moxyball readers! It’s been awhile since my last post here at Moxyball, so I’ll reintroduce myself. My name is Geoff Lambert and I’m the founder of GoingFor2.com, a fantasy website not too dissimilar from Moxyball.com. So please, if you like what you read here, come check out my team and I. I know research time is precious so let’s just get started.

I’m going to go through each position and give you the “value” plays. Value plays to me are guys under 6K that should outperform their value on FanDuel. I determine value as 5 points for every $1,000 spent. So if you spend $10,000 on a guy, he needs to get 50 points to reach value. Here we go…

Point Guard

Tony Parker, Spurs $5,500

Don’t look now, but Parker is starting to heat up. With five straight games over 25 FD points, at $5,500 he is a steal. The Mavericks represent a “plus” matchup for him as well, and because this game is not a back to back, and their next game isn’t until Friday I don’t expect him to take a rest day.

Matthew Dellavedova, Cavs $4,400

This is a situation to monitor as Mo Williams could potentially be back in the lineup for this game. If Williams was to sit out another game, Delly will likely get the start, and coming off his season-best FanDuel score of 30.5, there is no reason not to play him.

Shooting Guard

Evan Fournier, Magic $5,900

Yes, he has a bad outing against the Cavaliers, but overall this guy has been money in the bank. Previous to his 15-point outing against the Cavs he had scored 30-plus in four of his last five, and the one he missed 30 he still had 29. The Knicks are a much-improved team over last year, but still are not a good defensive team, Fournier is in a good spot to put up some nice numbers.

Jeremy Lamb, Hornets $4,600

This one is a little bit riskier than Fournier, but solid nonetheless. Lamb has provided consistent production off the bench for the Hornets, missing 20 FanDuel points only twice over his last 10 games. Washington is a decent defensive team, so there is some risk there, but at $4600 he is worth that risk if it means you can pay up elsewhere.

Small Forward

Otto Porter, Wizards $5,800

I’m surprised Porter is still price under 6K. Yes, he did have a tough go at it last night against the Pacers, but he is getting close to 30 minutes a night and can contribute in just about every statistical category. It’s not a great matchup with the Hornets, but it’s not a bad one either.

Jae Crowder, Celtics $5,100

As I write this, Crowder is not having a good game against the Hawks, and he had a bad game before that, but a matchup with the lowly 76ers will heal all ailments. Expect him to be low-owned due to his string of sub-par games, but he should have a nice bounce-back game here.

Power Forward

Tristan Thompson, Cavs $5,700

This is an easy one. With Timofey Mozgov expected to miss this game tonight, Thompson should get 35-plus minutes again. He missed his a double-double by one point for the second straight game, I expect him to get it tonight against the Raptors. I’m projecting him to be around 12 points and 14 rebounds.

Luis Scola, Raptors $4,600

For my other value at power forward I’m looking across the proverbial court to Scola. Scola is one of those plays that you have to catch on the right night, and tonight should be that night. The minutes are there, around 25 a game, and Kevin Love has never been accused of being a great defender.

Center

Kosta Koufos, Kings $4,000

Center tonight is one of the hardest positions to find value, some I’m going with a total punt instead. Koufos has been very inconsistent but is capable of giving you some solid point production. Though he is listed on FD as a center, he actually plays some power forward as well when on the court with DeMarcus Cousins. The Bucks statistically don’t defend the power forward nor the center position very well and rank in the bottom third in those two categories.

There you have it guys, my top values for tonight. I’d like tho thank Jared and the Moxyball team for letting me do this column for you today. Be sure to check me out over at GoingFor2.com, have a great Thanksgiving and good luck today!
