Moxyball DraftKings NBA Lineup for Monday, March 16.

The lineup is below… check back closer to game time for additional notes and any final lineup changes.

Some notes on today’s lineup…

  • With Kyle Korver sitting out today, Kent Bazemore is looking like a strong SG value play at $3,400. He shouldn’t have any trouble hitting the 22+ point mark and will threaten for 30+. The Hawks are also expected to rest Al Horford, and Thabo Sefolosha appears to be in street clothes as well.
  • The Heat are going to be in tough against the Cavs, but Goran Dragic has been playing very well for his new team and makes for an excellent option in DFS today.
  • LeBron James, just like we mentioned on FanDuel, should be a go tonight… and in a revenge game against his former team, you can bet he’s going to come out with guns blazing. 40 points is his absolute floor, but I think we’re going to see a number with at least a 5 in front of it once the final buzzer goes.
  • Like James, Thaddeus Young is facing his old team tonight. In his new starting role, he’s seeing 30+ minutes a night and will easily bring at least that number in points.
  • I like Jonas Valanciunas against Roy Hibbert and the Pacers tonight. He’s one of the only players around $5K that I feel has 40 DKP upside, with a relatively reasonable 20-25 point floor in an attractive matchup.
  • George Hill, Chandler Parsons and Ish Smith are plays I like in their respective games tonight for the money.
  • Hill has been on a really nice streak lately for the Pacers, averaging 36 DKP over the last 3 games. He’s at home once again for the 4th straight game and faces a Toronto squad who is on the heels of a back to back. No brainer play for me.
  • With just under 35 ppg over his last 2 outings (including a 40.25 mark a few nights ago against the Clippers), Parsons should get plenty of opportunity to hit outside shots against OKC.
  • Ish Smith is on a nice streak for the Sixers right now, contributing at least 22 points in 5 straight games with a 29.4 average over the last 3 in particular. For $5,100 there’s really no downside as an easy 5x ROI candidate on the low end.

I really want to work in Enes Kanter, so I’ve put together a second lineup as well:

  1. I’m going:

    PG- Westbrook
    SG- Bazemore
    SF- Parsons
    PF- Speights
    C- Cousins
    G- McCallum
    F- Hood
    Util- Kanter

If Isaiah Thomas plays, is he a better option than Kanter at utility?
