FanDuel NHL Fantasy Hockey Picks 2/10 | NHL DFS Strategy Fantasy Advice & Sleepers for Feb 10| FanDuel Lineup Tips for February 10

Good morning everyone!  For Tuesday’s action we have 9 games on the schedule in the NHL tonight.  The 2/10 FanDuel NHL picks should be interesting across the board with a few match-ups that look great on paper.

Today’s Game Slate

Dallas @ Boston

Ottawa @ Buffalo

Edmonton @ NY Islanders

NY Rangers @ Toronto

Philadelphia @ Montreal

Anaheim @ Florida

Arizona @ St. Louis

Tampa Bay @ Nashville

Minnesota @ Winnipeg

(Line-ups lock at 7pm EST)

Let’s take a look at some of the options out there tonight:

  • St. Louis vs. Arizona:

This is the match-up to exploit tonight in my books.  Sure, Arizona picked up two points last night as the underdog in the game I thought was the match-up to exploit in yesterday’s write-up, but that won’t stop me from doing it twice in a row.  The Blues sit 3rd in the West and despite the fact they dropped their last 2 games, they had previously won 7 of the previous 8.  Jake Allen has been confirmed in net for St. Louis, and he makes for a good value play for $7,300.  Alex Pietrangelo for $4,700 is a very good price for an excellent defenseman with a great matchup – and like always, you can’t go wrong with any combo of the top 6 forwards (Oshie-Backes-Steen, Schwartz-Stasney-Tarasenko).  Lots to choose from in this match-up, and I will likely be using 4 Blues tonight.

  • NY Islanders vs Edmonton

The Islanders are another heavy favourite facing off against an underdog that also picked up two points last night.  Expect Jaroslav Halak ($9,000) to get the start in net tonight for the Islanders who don’t play tomorrow and didn’t play yesterday.  On the back end, Johnny Boychuk is the prime man on the back end for the Isles, and you can have him on your squad tonight for $5k.  Up front, if you want to pay up for Tavares, you can…or you can get risk and go with one or two ‘punts’.  LW Anders Lee ($4,900) is likely the ‘safest’ punt option as he plays on the top line and top PP unit.  If you want to get a little more dicey you can go with RW Josh Bailey for $4,200.  He is playing on the top line – but does not get much PP time at all.  Many in the FanDuel hockey community seem to love diving into the depths that are the 2nd and 3rd lines for the Islanders from time to time…I am not one of them.

  • Montreal vs. Philadelphia

Carey Price ($10,200) is always worth considering – especially in a game they should win.  He has been playing outstanding all season long.  On the back end, Andrei Markov ($3,700) is a must start for those looking to go cheap on the point tonight.  If you want to pay up a little more, P.K. Subban ($5,200) is back about the $5k mark after a quick dip below it on the weekend.  You could even go as far as using both of them tonight in a game where the Habs should win (think +), and they could very well each get a point.  Up front, the Habs can be a little volatile.  They mix and match lines between PP and Even Strength scenarios – though there is some value that can be found here through the likes of C David Desharnais ($5,300), or LW Alex Galchenyuk ($4,600).  If you want to pay up, there is always LW Max Pacioretty ($8,700) who has points in 3 straight and 5 of his last 6.

Other Potential Plays

  • Ottawa heads to Buffalo to take on the Sabres.  On the back end, Erik Karlsson ($6,500) is pretty cheap compared to the usual price for the star point man.  Up front, RW Bobby Ryan ($6,700) is worth a look – as is RW Mark Stone ($3,600) who has seen his price drop fresh off a -4 effort on the weekend.
  • While I don’t partciularly love Nashville in any sort of stack scenario, the price on LW Filip Forsberg ($6,400) is something I just don’t understand.  He has points in 9 of his last 10 games, and has 48 points on the season.

What players do you like for February 10th’s NHL action?  Have any questions setting your lineup?  We want to hear from you!
