Let’s kick off another week with a look at our daily picks!

P Hyun-Jin Ryu($8,100): After an awful start against Pittsburgh, Ryu threw real well in his last start vs. the Padres. While, yes, it was the Padres, he racked up 20 points. He has hit double digits in 5 of his last 6 starts, and I like him for a good outing tonight.
C Kurt Suzuki ($2,300): Suzuki is typically my low-cost catcher that I like to plug in when Stephen Vogt isn’t playing – so enter Suzuki tonight! Facing T.J. House, the matchup is anything but daunting for Suzuki. I think he produces a couple of points tonight.
1B Billy Butler ($2,500): There aren’t many bats that I would recommend starting against Sale – but with a price tag of $2,500, and a career stat line of 14-37 with 3 HR and 10 RBI’s against the tall lefty, Butler gets the nod from me today.
2B Dustin Pedroia ($2,900): It’s rare to see Pedroia this cheap, and even though he has been underwhelming, anytime you get under the $3k price tag – I’m not looking for a huge game. I like Pedroia to reach base 1-2x and possibly chip in with a run and/or an RBI tonight vs Drew Hutchison.
3B Todd Frazier ($4,000): Frazier has 3 dingers and 2 stolen bases in his last 6 games. Tonight he faces Wily Peralta, who is solid, but unspectacular. He is playing great ball in 2014, and I’m happy to go with Frazier tonight.
SS Jose Reyes ($3,400): He’s averaging 3.78 points in his last eight, and appears to have picked up where he left off before the break with the bat, having a very productive series against the Rangers.
OF Melky Cabrera ($3,300): When Melky is on, he is the type of player that can make your day in daily fantasy baseball. He is fresh off back to back 3 hit games, and is a fairly safe play to contribute positive points for your team today.
OF J.D. Martinez ($4,100): One of the first things I do each day when playing is check who the Tigers are playing. If it’s a lefty, then odds are that Martinez goes into my lineup. Today’s opposing pitcher is Vidal Nuno, and as such, Martinez is locked in.
Other Noteworthy Points
- 1B Dan Johnson ($2,200) has averaged 3.1 PPG on Fanduel since his recall. He is reaching base at a great clip and will be batting 6th tonight for the Jays.
- OF Jacoby Ellsbury ($3,700) is 6 for his last 12, and has chipped in with 3SB in that timeframe. If J.D. Martinez were not facing a lefty, he’d be in one of my OF spots.
- SP Shane Greene ($6,000) is fresh off a 20.33 performance on FanDuel his last time out. If you are looking for a value pitcher for tonight, roll the dice on Greene vs. a depleted Texas squad.
